Growing up in the late 50's and 60's, I never had a lot of money, but i learned all about the junk yards, (salvage yards today), i loved the smell of oil and gas, busted knuckles, and band-aids, dirt, greese, and the fine art of a shade-tree mecanic..making parts to fit any car or truck i had, not to worried about what model it came from, ford, chev, dodge, pontiac, studebaker, if it fit i would make it work...I am in my mid 60's now, and i built my truck mainely out of savage yards, of course i had my heads triple angled cut and degreed, but the rest i did my self in the back yard...alot of hot rod tricks and knowledge picked up over the years...what i came up with is a true sleeper...a 1973 dodge pick-up,with original tires and hub caps, but under the hood a bad-ass 430 horse 440 max wedge big block , with a 727 torque-flight, tranny, shift kit, and beefed-up 410, 8 3/4, drop-out rear end..Whow what a ride...Happy hot rodding guys and gals...
