I love your story, and I too have a vette story but not nearly as interesting. My wife loves vettes and when we were dating we would regularly visit car shows and end up at the vettes on display. C-2's were her thing and my were Mopars. That was twenty five years ago. Several years ago, my neighbor's son was tell us about a corvette in the junkyard/ towing service where he worked. We thought that maybe if was one to many beers talking. He told us that it was a 1987 Corvette Stingray....

Several years ago, my neighbor's son was tell us about a corvette in the junkyard/ towing service where he worked. We thought that maybe if was one to many beers talking. He told us that it was a 1987 Corvette Stingray. Several times he told us about this vette and that his boss was getting rid of it on Saturday if we had any interest, we had to act now. On the way home I stopped at the yard and in fact did find 1978 silver anniversary corvette with 54 k and very little damage.
With a little tlc and the purchase of the storage bill my wife has her Corvett even if it took 25 years.
